about Brian
Brian, his wife Brianne, their two daughters, and two dogs have been residents of Nassau Bay since April 2018. The family moved here from League City because of the tight-knit atmosphere that a small city provides. The proximity to the parks, local restaurants, the Space Center, and excellent schools were the big draws, along with the unique charm of the community. All of these things make Nassau Bay a perfect place to raise a young family.

Brian has always sought involvement with the community, having grown up on Long Island, NY. Serving as a volunteer firefighter in Oyster Bay and as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary fostered a passion for community building before he moved to Texas for better career opportunities. Recently, Brian has continued by becoming an advocate for transparency, working to encourage discussion and involvement in our City's government through social media and coordinating the citizen livestream broadcasts of the City Council meetings. He sought greater community involvement by petitioning the council to have the city broadcast these meetings. Everyone in Nassau Bay has a voice and deserves an opportunity to participate and be heard.

Professionally, Brian is a US Coast Guard Licensed Master of Towing, working as the Captain of an inland towing vessel pushing petrochemical barges along the Gulf Coast's Intracoastal Waterway system for Enterprise Marine Service (a part of the Enterprise Products Partners family). He has a B.S. in Marine Transportation from the State University of New York Maritime College and an MBA from Strayer University's Jack Welch Management Institute. He has worked in the industry since 2006, having held roles both on the boat and in shoreside management overseeing entire fleets of vessels. As one of the few trainers of new wheelhouse personnel, Brian works to instill attributes of leadership in each member of his crew.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys watching his daughters participate in baseball and gymnastics (being the loudest fan in the stands), watching professional sports (primarily baseball, hockey, and football), doing projects around the house, watching science fiction and comic book movies, and taking the family's camper out to explore the many wonders the great State of Texas has to offer.
